A day at the Perth Races is a great combination of exciting racing action, fun, friends and above all stylish fashion.
Make the most of elegant racing traditions and make your mark by planning your Day at the Races. Ladies and gents are encouraged to be neatly dressed and groomed with shoes and a shirt to be worn at all times. However, we have lots of grassed areas and outdoor bars, so smart casual attire is also welcomed in General Admission. We’d encourage you not to wear thongs for your own safety.

Please note, strict dress standard apply for all Members Areas so please ensure you comply if you are attending Ascot as a Members Guest or regular race patron.
Ladies
Ladies are to dress in suitable raceday attire. Heeled shoes, fascinators and hats are encouraged.
Gentlemen
Gentlemen are to dress smartly and appropriately, in keeping with contemporary racing style. Tailored slacks or pants with a tucked in collared shirt are encouraged. Jackets and ties are optional with all attendees required to wear closed in dress shoes.
Ladies are required to dress in racewear to the standard appropriate to a more relaxed environment of the alfresco areas. Heeled shoes, fascinators and hats are encouraged.
Gentleman
Gentlemen are asked to dress smartly and appropriately in keeping with contemporary racing style. Tailored dress shorts, slacks/pants with a tucked in collared shirt are encouraged. All attendees are required to wear closed in dress shoes.
Management reserved the right to refuse entry to any patrons to meeting these standards.
Members and patrons accessing the Mounting Yard are requested with Members Area Dress Code.
Neither jeans nor denim is acceptable and patrons not adhering to this ruling will be asked to leave the Mounting Yard.
Perth Racing's Dress Code will be strictly enforced within the Members area. To avoid any inconvenience on raceday please ensure that your attire, and that of your guests, is appropriate for the Members' area.
